Employee Spotlight

Brett Burns – Implementation Specialist

Brett Burns was hired as an implementation specialist in Mach 2021. Some of our customers may be familiar with Brett because he not only helps them with configuring their new applications, but he also has been a presenter at past Leadership and Training seminars hosted by 1Call (Amtelco’s healthcare division).

He holds teaching licenses in two states and is able to use his teaching experience when supporting customers. Even though he enjoys training customers, Brett says, “My most favorite thing is continuously learning. I find I learn something new with just about every project I am on.”

Brett is building meaningful customer relationships and is already making great memories with them. He says, “A Southern California customer made sure we didn’t go back to Wisconsin without having In-N-Out Burgers, so we were treated to an enormous amount of In-N-Out.”

When he isn’t working, you can find Brett spending time on one of his many hobbies. Brett plays guitar, mandolin, and piano, and both listens to and plays all kinds of music. He is also an outdoor enthusiast and says, “I love to be outside, and my hobbies change with the season. I love backpacking, mountain biking, and golfing when it’s warm. However, winter is my favorite season, and I’m extremely passionate about skiing.”.

Three Random Things to Know About Brett
1. If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go? I really want to go backpacking through Patagonia and just get lost out there for a while.
2. What’s one of the craziest things you’ve ever done? In 2017, I saw the same band play 16 concerts in a row.
3. If you could go back in time and see any musical artist/group, who would you see? I would see Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and the Grateful Dead.
