Tips to Engaging Remote Call Center Agents
When call centers transition to remote work from home environments, one challenge they may face are keeping their remote agents engaged. While there are many benefits that working from home offers, one aspect that agents may miss about not being in the office each day is the social aspect. Employee Spotlight
Erin Passehl – Tradeshow and Facilities Manager
Erin Passehl earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design from the University of Wisconsin – Stout and an associate degree in event management from Madison College. In April 2014, Erin was hired as Amtelco’s tradeshow coordinator and was responsible for tradeshow booth design and management, as well as coordinating all Amtelco and 1Call events, until she took a hiatus in February 2018.
In May 2020, Erin returned to her Amtelco family as the tradeshow and facilities manager. She says, “I still coordinate tradeshow marketing in addition to managing interior remodel projects, furniture and finish selections, space planning, and signage.”
Erin has been putting her BFA to good use helping Amtelco during a major building renovation at their headquarters in McFarland, Wisconsin. Updates to the building include a new employee kitchen and break room, a revamped reception area, a health and wellness room, and updated office finishes incorporating legacy images with new logos and colors to tell the Amtelco story.
Erin is a sports lover and is especially fond of baseball. She hopes to tour or see a game at all of the Major League Baseball stadiums. She spends time at home with her husband, son, and pets. She says, “We are all animals lovers. Even though I’ve been bitten by a dog, I love cats and dogs. We own two of each, plus fish. They run the house; we just pay the mortgage.”.
Three Random Things to Know About Erin
1. If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go? I’d like to visit Norway to continue researching my ancestral roots.
2. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? I’ve cut myself with a spoon.
3. What’s your favorite season? Fall. I love the overlap of sports seasons and cooler hoodie weather. I wear my flip-flips till it snows – sometimes beyond!
