Employee Spotlight
Ken Anderson – Quality Assurance Technician
Ken Anderson was hired by Amtelco in October 1999 for the Field Engineering department. At that time, he was only 19 years old and too young to drive a rental car at customer sites. Ken was reassigned as a help-desk support technician for the CallScriptor software. Over the next few years, more products were added to his support duties, and he officially became a Field Engineering technician.
Between 2003 and 2006, Ken was the sole Field Engineering technician supporting the Intelligent Series (IS) product. His work with the early versions of the IS software resulted in his receiving the annual Customer Service Department Outstanding Service Award in 2005.
In 2010, Ken was given his own team to lead and supported Amtelco’s data portability tools, including client and directory importers/exporters, the RED Alert Importer/Exporter, and the HL7-based Real-Time Importer (RTI) for Amtelco’s 1Call healthcare division customers. Today, Ken is busy testing Amtelco software as a quality assurance technician. He mainly works with the IS and Genesis products for very large deployments and especially enjoys large-scale load testing.
Ken has the distinction of being one of the few Amtelco employees to have worked at Amtelco for at least half of their life. Ken says, “I believe I might be the youngest to achieve this recognition.” When not at work, Ken enjoys fishing, building things, and driving any kind of vehicle.
