Addressing Healthcare Workplace Violence with Integrated Contact Center Software and Secure Messaging
Violence experienced by healthcare workers in the United States has been a major concern for years, and unfortunately, it is getting worse. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics published a fact sheet about workplace violence in healthcare between 2011-2018 that showed the industry’s workplace violence was on the rise.

IS – Keyboard Commands
The Keyboard Commands provide agents the ability to perform most call-handling functions with just a single keystroke. Commands include pre-programmed Actions, as well as customizable Actions that can be used to trigger Button input response elements in Intelligent Messaging scripts.

Telescan – Spectrum Backup to Amazon Web Service for SDM
Telescan is excited to announce an expansion of Spectrum’s Backup to Amazon Web Services (AWS) feature. Beginning with the R2-22 release, Spectrum Data Manager (SDM) has been augmented to offsite a daily backup of SDM data.

Employee Spotlight
Tim Poropat – Telescan Field Engineering Technician
Tim Poropat is a valued resource to customers of Amtelco’s Telescan division in Missouri who have called or emailed requests to troubleshoot hardware or software issues, get help with setting up software, or receive guidance with schedules or interactive voice response (IVR).
In May 2022 Tim transitioned into a full-time service support engineer at Telescan to join a team of people dedicated to providing excellent customer support. Tim says, “I like exploring the Linux side of the Genesis software, and I especially enjoy helping customers set up IVR menus because our software offers so many options to customers.”
When not at work, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and their dachshund. Tim’s hobbies include gardening, painting Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) miniatures, and fossil collecting. Tim has been interested in fossils since he was a kid when his family would take vacations to the badlands of the United States and Canada.

1. If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go? Japan – to visit the Shinto shrines and spend time in both the countryside and cities
2. What superpower would you choose if you had the chance to pick one? Shape-shifting because it would include many types of superpowers such as flying, breathing underwater, etc
