How Remote Work Will Shape the Future of Call Centers
In the years preceding the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work was scarce. These recent years post-pandemic have seen a dramatic increase and then a slight decrease in remote work as working in offices has stabilized. Some people are just now heading back to the office, while some have never stopped working remotely.
Adapting to a global pandemic required flexibility, and now that times are safer, this ability has been a mainstay. Here are some benefits of having agents work from home.

IS – Faxing
The optional Intelligent Series (IS) Faxing feature uses Fax Contact Methods to fax messages from Intelligent Messaging scripts and the IS Directory. The messages are faxed by the IS fax Service using the CopiaFacts, RightFax, or TTG Fax Dashboard applications. The IS Faxing feature requires a fax card, the CopiaFacts, RightFax, or TTG Fax Dashboard software, and the IS Directory Contacts feature.

Spectrum – AWS Backup Retrieval
In 2022, Telescan installed a new feature called VL Backup (Voice Logger Backup) on all Hosted Spectrum servers. The program has been updated several times since then and is now called AWS Backup. AWS Backup offers users easy, direct access to Voice Logger files that have been archived in the cloud.

Employee Spotlight
Runni Liu – Marketing Specialist
Runni Liu has worked at Amtelco since September 6, 2022, as a Marketing Specialist for Amtelco Secure Messages. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in media studies. A memory she has of first starting at Amtelco is the high number of products that are offered, and that Jessy Mohn-Scanlan was very patient while going through all of them on a piece of paper and explaining how they all integrate.
Runni is currently working on content creation and seeing tangible results on Facebook and LinkedIn analytics, and says it is very rewarding for all the work she is putting in. She is proud to have created the fun Amtelco Duck stickers, which have been very popular!
In her spare time, Runni spends time with her little pet, Biscuit, a three-year-old girl Tuxedo cat. This year, Runni wants to start a self-sustaining garden, like a hydroponic or traditional garden.
Three Random Things to Know About Runni
1: If you could eat anything in the world right now, what would it be? Gelato. When I went to Italy over the summer, I enjoyed the authentic gelato a lot, and I wish I had one in my hands in this moment.
2: If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go? Yunnan, China.
3: What is a favorite quote of yours? A quote that really resonated with me that I encountered around the start of the new year is a quote by Laurie Buchanan: “Whatever you are not changing, you are choosing.”
